The Third Order Regular (TOR) of St. Francis traces its origins to the ancient Order of Penance from the 4th century. Established in Ranchi in 1996 and elevated to a full Province on 20 March 2006.

Established at Ranchi in 1996, the Province of St. Francis was formally elevated to full Provincial status on 20 March 2006, recognizing the remarkable growth and strategic importance of our mission in India.
